Skirted Lures

Skirted Lures

Richter Skirted Lures come with a reputation forged in Exmouth - one of the top 10 Bill Fisheries on the planet. Our lures catch fish and win tournaments, what more could you ask of a lure? Skirted lures are trolled behind a boat and imitate fleeing baitfish as they pop out of the water momentarily. This action coupled with enticing colour patterns makes them irresistible to prowling pelagics.

They come in a variety of sizes and head shapes and can be rigged in different ways making them one of the most versatile lures on the market.
When trolling, smaller lures tend to be most effective when set back in the spread, with larger lures best placed close to the boat, right behind the teasers and in the propeller wash.

Our skirted lures are very effective at catching pelagic fish that inhabit the pelagic zone, which is essentially the zone of water in the open ocean, near the surface and not very close to the shore. Some of the larger pelagic species that can very effectively be targeted with our lures include:
  • Tuna
  • Marlin
  • Wahoo
  • Dolphinfish
  • Sailfish
  • Kingfish
  • Spanish mackerel
  • Trevally
Skirted lures may seem intimidating at first but we have taken all the guesswork out of it with our extensive selection of pre-rigged lures. With all the rigging done by the Richter Team, fishing with these lures is almost too easy. These lures are tried and tested, and we are confident that they will take your fishing to another level!
